How our website meets accessibility requirements

Status of compatibility with the requirements

Our products and services can be found, accessed and used by people with disabilities in the usual way, without any particular difficulty and generally without assistance.

Our website is largely compatible with the BFSG and the BFSGV. However, there are still some barriers on our pages that we are actively working on and want to remove in the future. The following exceptions and incompatibilities exist:

The following contents are not barrier-free as they are not compatible with the underlying harmonized standard EN 301 549:

  • There are images without captions on individual pages. It is difficult to navigate to the images with screen readers.
  • There are links without link text on several pages.
  • The contrast between text and background is too low on several pages.
  • There are ‘iframe’ elements without labeling on individual pages. Navigation with screen readers to the iframes is difficult.
  • There are form fields without labels on individual pages. It is difficult to navigate to the form fields with screen readers.
  • There are invalid aria attribute values on individual pages. These are not recognized by screen readers and are therefore not displayed correctly.
  • On individual pages, there are elements with the Aria-hidden attribute that can be focused at the same time. This means that these elements are accessible for assistive technologies, even though they should be hidden.
  • There are lists on individual pages that contain elements that do not belong in lists. As a result, the lists may not be output correctly by assistive technologies.
